Biography
Jared Padalecki was born July 19, 1982 in San Antonio ( Texas , USA ) in the family of Gerald Padalecki, a tax accountant , and Sherry Cammer, a teacher . Padalecki has Polish roots on the part of his father (his surname is an English version of the Polish Padalecki [1] ) and German, English, French, and Scottish on the mother's side. [2] . He has an older brother, Jeffrey, a surgeon, and a younger sister, Megan. At the age of 12, Jared began taking acting classes. He attended the James Madison School in San Antonio. In 1999, Padalecki won the Claim To Fame contest, as a result of which he got the opportunity to present the prize at the Teen Choice Award ceremony , where he met his current agent. After leaving school in 2000, Jared moved to Los Angeles ( California ) to continue his acting career, although he originally planned to enter the University of Texas [3] .
Career
He participated in an audition for the role of Anakin Skywalker for the movie Star Wars . [3] Jared Padalecki's first acting career was a supporting role in the 1999 film A Little Inside. In 2000, he got the role of Dean Forester in the successful television series The Gilmore Girls and starred in it until 2005 . Between 2000 and 2003, Jared played roles in such films as The Silent Witness ( 2000 ), Closer to Home ( 2001 ), The Ring of Endless Light ( 2002 ), and Young McGyver ( 2003 ).
In 2003, Jared played a small role in the comedy “ Wholesale is Cheaper, ” although it was not listed in the credits. In 2004, he played the role of Trey Lipton in the comedy Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, “The Moments of New York, ” and also starred in the adventure drama “ Flight of the Phoenix .” In 2005, Padalecki starred in two horror films at once - "The Lone Wolf " and " House of Wax ", in which Elisha Cuthbert , Chad Michael Murray and Paris Hilton also took part.
In the same year, Jared auditioned for the role of Sam Winchester in the television series Warner Brothers Supernatural , after the success of which the number of his fans increased significantly.

Also, Jared Padalecki was invited to play the role of the host of the new reality show MTV Channel 401 , the creator of which was Ashton Kutcher . The idea of the show is that unsuspecting participants get into terrible situations that turn out to be a hoax.
Personal life
On February 27, 2010, Jared Padalecki married actress Genevieve Cortese [5] [6] , who after the wedding took her husband's name.
