Babloyan, Ara Saenovich

Ara Saenovich Babloyan ( Armenian Արա Սայենի Բաբլոյան ; born May 5, 1947 , Yerevan ) is an Armenian scientist in the field of medicine and a doctor - a pediatric surgeon - a urologist , as well as a statesman and politician. Doctor of Medical Sciences (1987), Professor (1989). Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia from 2017 to 2019.

Biography

  • 1955-1965 - Yerevan Secondary School No. 76.
  • 1966-1971 - Department of Pediatrics, Yerevan State Medical Institute .
  • 1970-1972 - worked in the clinic number 8.
  • 1972-1977 - pediatric surgeon and urologist at Yerevan Children's Clinical Hospital No. 1.
  • Since 1977 - defended his thesis in Leningrad . Passed through the competition and was elected as an assistant to the Department of Pediatric Surgery at YSMU.
  • 1982-1987 - appointed head of the Department of Urology at the 3rd Children's Clinical Hospital of Yerevan.
  • 1987-1989 - defended his doctoral dissertation at the Leningrad Institute of Pediatrics.
  • Since 1987 - assistant professor of pediatric surgery at Yerevan State Medical Institute, and since 1989 - professor.
  • 1988 - actively participated in the rescue of children affected by the earthquake, which contributed to the introduction of children's hemodialysis service in Armenia .
  • 1989 - Specialized in kidney transplantation in Switzerland and Belgium .
  • Since 1990 - founded the center of neurophrology and pediatric surgery.
  • 1991-1997 - was the Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia.
  • 1997-2006 - Head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery of Yerevan State Medical University named after Mkhitar Heratsi.
  • 2003 - founded the medical complex "Arabkir" - the Institute for the Health of Children and Adolescents.
  • 2003-2005 - Member of the Standing Committee of the European Regional Committee of the World Health Organization. Chairman of the Association of Pediatric Surgeons of Armenia. Member of the European Society of Pediatric Urology, the Association of Pediatric Surgeons of the European Union , the Association of Nephrologists of Switzerland .
  • 2006-2007 - Head of the First Department of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery, Yerevan State Medical University. The author of 3 scientific discoveries, 4 monographs and more than 160 scientific articles.
  • May 12, 2007 - elected to parliament. Member of RPA .
  • June 7, 2007 - elected Chairman of the Standing Committee on Social Affairs, Health, Maternity and Childhood.
