Pysysh ( abaz. Pysysh , kabard.-cherk. Pysysh , karach.-balk. Pysysh ) - a river in Russia , flows through Karachay-Cherkessia . One of the sources of the Bolshoi Zelenchuk river. It originates from the Nart Glacier, located on the massif of Mount Pshish . The mouth at the confluence with the Kizgych River. The length of the river is about 24 km.

Etymology
The name of the river comes, according to Tverdy , from Adyghe. psish - “three rivers” or “three rivers”, according to the number of the main sources of the Greater Zelenchuk - the rivers Psysh, Arkhyz and Kizgych. According to S. A. Hapaev, the name comes from Abaz. psyz - “fish”, and according to Ionova S. Kh. - from Adyghe. dogs - formant to designate a river and an element of abkh. w in the meaning of “white” - “white (pure) water” [1] .
