Shehre-Jadide-Heshtgerd ( Pers. شهر جدید هشتگرد ) is a small city in the north of Iran , in the island of Alborz . It is part of the shahrestan Savodzhbolag .

Geography
The city is located in the central part of Alborsa, south of the Elburs Range, approximately 17 kilometers northwest of Keredge , the provincial capital. The absolute height is 1532 meters above sea level [1] .
Population
According to the 2006 census, the population of the city was 15 619 people (8070 men and 7549 women). There are 4,353 families in Shehr-Jadid-Hashtgerd. The literacy rate of the population was 88.57%. The literacy rate among men was 89.26%, among women - 87.84% [2] .
