Biography
Hana Laszlo was born in Jaffa in the family of repatriates who survived in the Holocaust from Europe, becoming the third of four daughters [5] . Hana's father held a watch shop, whose visitors subsequently served as a source of inspiration for some of her stage images [6] .
During the years of service in the Israel Defense Forces, Laszlo sang in the ensemble of command of the Southern Military District, and after leaving, she participated in a television program for children, where she first attracted attention. A career breakthrough, in her own words, occurred in 1978, when Laszlo participated in the Gali Gil program “Life is not a honeymoon” [7] . Also, since the mid-1970s, she has starred in Israeli films, some of which have become iconic (“ Halfon Heights Don't Answer ,” “Save the Rescuer”). In the 1980s, Laszlo became a star of children's programs and a well - known stand-up practitioner , in particular, creating the popular image of “grandmother Zapta” ( Hebrew סבתא זפטה - “Savta Zapta”) in the program “An occasion to celebrate” [6] . Another famous stage image of Laszlo is the cleaning lady Clara, whom the actress herself calls her favorite [7] . Laszlo also plays in leading Israeli theaters, including Habima [6] and Gesher [8] . The most significant award in her career - the prize for best actress at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival - was brought to her by the role of a scammer in Amos Gitaia 's film “ Free Zone ” [9] .
Laszlo was married twice, both of her marriages ended in divorce. From a marriage with a producer, she has two sons [5] , Ben and Itamar, who were born in the second half of the 1980s [10] . In an interview with the Haaretz newspaper, she recalls that at the age of 16 she had an affair with composer and singer Zwick Peak [8] .
