Biography

Pavel Beltyukov was born on January 7, 1998 in Yekaterinburg . He did not serve in the army, after graduation he devoted himself completely to e-sports.

He began playing Hearthstone at the stage of closed beta testing , in June 2014 he took part in the competition for the first time. At first I played once a week at the Gosu Cup tournaments, although I didn’t show any outstanding results here - while I was just mastering the game, I gained experience [2] .

The first truly serious success was achieved in the spring of 2015, when he qualified for the Gfinity 2015 Spring Masters II (as a result, he did not speak at these competitions, as he could not get an English visa on time). In August, he selected for the first “live” tournament One Nation of Gamers Summer Circuit in his career - he successfully overcame the group stage here, however, at the semi-finals stage he lost to the representative of Ukraine Alexander “Kolento” Malsh - for this achievement he received a prize of $ 3,000. Two months later, he became one of the eight strongest European players and qualified for the BlizzCon World Championship.

In February 2016, Beltyukov won the second season of the Hearthstone Champions League, left the group at DreamHack Austin 2016, performed at WCA 2016, was the best in the European qualifying tournament Last Call.

He won one of the most significant victories in his professional career in the fall of 2016 at the BlizzCon World Championship, at the most prestigious tournament in the Hearthstone discipline. At the group stage with a score of 1: 4, he lost to American HotMEOWTH, but then he won 4: 0 against Korean DDaHyoNi and 4: 3 against Chinese OmegaZero, thereby breaking through to the quarterfinal stage. At the playoff stage, in a tense struggle, he won a strong-willed victory over US representative William “Amnesiac” Barton, after which he won 4: 2 against JasonZhou from China and defeated Ukrainian Artem “DrHippi” Kravets in the decisive final match 4: 2. Having won the world title, he received the main prize in the amount of 250 thousand dollars [3] [4] .

In 2017, he continued his career as a player in Hearthstone, taking part in many commercial tournaments [5] . As of 2017, he is the highest paid player in Hearthstone - in total at various competitions he received more than 275 thousand dollars [6] [7] .
