History

In 1963, for the development of the Gnedinsky oil and gas condensate field discovered in 1959 in Gnedintsi, the construction of an oil refinery was launched, the first stage of which, the integrated oil treatment unit No. 1, was commissioned in 1968.

Subsequently, in accordance with the 9th five-year plan for the development of the national economy of the USSR , a gas processing plant was built in Gnedintsi under the project of the Kiev design institute UkrNIIproekt [3] , which was commissioned in 1974 [1] and in April 1974 gave first products.

In 1977, the level of mechanization of production processes at the enterprise exceeded 90%, this year the plant processed 400 million m³ of associated petroleum gas [1] . Also, in 1977, the gasification of the village of Gnedintsy was carried out from the plant [4] .

As of the beginning of 1979, the plant was equipped with new equipment and was one of the leading enterprises in the oil industry (the main technological processes were automated by this time), the main products of the plant were gas for household consumption, liquefied gas for household consumption and stable gas gasoline [1] , part of the output was exported outside the borders of the USSR.

After the independence of Ukraine, the plant became the largest of the seven gas processing plants in Ukraine. Subsequently, the state-owned enterprise was transferred to the jurisdiction of the Ukrneft production association and transformed into a limited liability company .

The economic crisis that began in 2008 complicated the situation of the plant, on December 5, 2008, drilling operations were suspended, production volumes were reduced, the enterprise was transferred to part-time and 4-day working weeks. The main GPP products at this time were liquefied gas and gas gasoline [5] .

In May 2009, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine included the plant in the list of particularly important objects of the oil and gas industry of the country [6] .
