At the end of the 19th - beginning of the 20th centuries , the beam was a favorite vacation spot for sailors and inhabitants of the Ship side. In this beam, a number of plants are listed in the Red Book , including relic pistachio, and therefore the beam is declared a state natural monument.
In the 1920s , the beam was renamed, giving it the name Komsomolskaya. However, the new name was not adopted by Sevastopol and the beam was returned to its original name.
