Biography

Khaltmaagiin Battulga was born on March 3, 1963 in Ulaanbaatar ^[1] . In 1982 he graduated from the College of Fine Arts of Mongolia with a degree in "artist". From 1982 to 1986 he worked as an artist in the Committee of Fine Arts of Mongolia.

From 1986 to 1989, he was a member of the MPR national team in Sambo and Judo . World Sambo Champion ( 1983 ), Vice-World Champion ( 1986 , 1990 ).

From 1992 to 1997, he was the General Director of Zhenka, then until 2004 he also worked in business structures in Mongolia.

From 2004 to 2016 - a member of the Great State Khural of Mongolia .

From 2008 to 2012 - Minister of Roads and Transport of Mongolia, from 2012 - Minister of Industry and Agriculture of Mongolia ^[2] .

In 2017, he was nominated for the President of Mongolia by the Democratic Party .

July 7, 2017 won the presidential election . He took office on July 10, 2017 ^[3] .
