Specifications
Webley Longspur - single-action revolver with a drum for five charges. Thanks to a long trigger of a special shape, convenient for cocking, he received a serious gain in rate of fire. Made of ductile iron. The octagonal barrel is a separate part attached to the axis of the drum. Has a removable ramrod . The coaster is located on the body on the right above the drum. It has different calibers: from 7.62 to 11.4 mm (.44).
It was expensive to manufacture (made by hand), which is why it lost competition to the Adams revolver .
Operator countries
UK : a number of Webley Longspur revolvers were acquired by British officers.
