Andres Salumets ( Est. Andres Salumets , born May 19, 1971 , Johvi ) is an Estonian biologist and biochemist, professor of reproductive medicine at the University of Tartu [1] .

Biography
He graduated from the Faculty of Biology of the University of Tartu in 1993 with a bachelor's degree; in 1995, he received a master's degree in biochemistry with a thesis " Functional properties of cellubiose dehydrogenase from wood-degrading fungus Phanerochaete chrysosporium ". In 2003, he defended his doctoral work at the University of Helsinki on the theme “ Effects of embryological parameters on the success of fresh and frozen embryo transfers ) and received a Ph.D. in physiology [2] . From 2003 to 2015, he was a member of the Executive Committee of the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology [3] . Member of the Council at the Competence Center for Reproductive Medicine and Biology [4] , employee of the research project “New approaches to the diagnosis of human infertility” ( Eng. Novel approaches for human infertility diagnostics ) and participant of the subproject “Endometric susceptibility: a systematic approach to biology” Endometrial receptivity: systems biology approach ) [5] . Professor at the Tartu Women's Clinic, a woman, professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tartu, an employee of the Institute of General and Molecular Pathology He is engaged in research in the field of infertility and human reproduction, human genetics and genetic diagnostics carried out before the birth of the child. The author of more than 20 scientific publications in various scientific journals [6] .
