Of the 55 inhabitants that day, 39 died, but almost all of the survivors were later shot dead. The village was not revived after the war. In 1974, an obelisk was installed in honor of the memory of those who died at the grave. The midges are also called Ivanovskaya Khatyn.

Causes of the punitive operation
On that day (December 1, 1942), at the request of one of the villagers, a punitive detachment attacked. On the one hand, a swamp tightly approached the village, on the other hand, a rather dense forest in which small partisan detachments settled down that were in the rear of the enemy. Here they were often trimmed and washed, and even settled down with some kind of food. The Germans learned about this and decided to destroy the village. It is said that at this time there was a small group (10-12 people) of partisans, but they did not enter the battle, because the forces were unequal.
Punitive move
In the morning the Germans came to the village and began to pull people into the street. Some residents attempted to hide in basements or simply hide their small children there. However, punitive spared no one. They shot the villagers, including old people and children. And the next day, all the buildings were burned. The place was cordoned off, nobody was allowed in there. Only 5-6 days later, the fascists from the inhabitants of the closer villages ( Snitovo and Vorotsevichi ) created a small group that took over the funeral of the dead. Those who were not in the village at that time were also shot. On the Snnitovo-Ivanovo road , the Drobysha's family was shot, who was traveling to rescue relatives from the city of Ivanovo (Brest region) :
Drobysh Olga Kharitonovna, born in 1905,
Drobysh Maxim Kharitonovich, born in 1907,

Drobysh Maxim, born in 1930,
Drobysh Katerina, born in 1933,
Drobysh Vladimir, born in 1941
On December 12, 1942, in the village of Vorotsevichi , the Zhigarevich family was shot:

01/25/1943 in Drogichin one more of the Zhigarevich family was shot - Anton Denisovich, born in 1911
Eismont Anton and Pelagia, who hid from good people during the war, managed to escape (hide in a swamp bush), after the war they built a small building in Moshk and lived there to death, raising 3 children.
Until the end of her days, Pelagia went to the place of the death of her fellow villagers, prayed, talked with them as if she were alive, told about her life, about everything that happened in the neighboring villages.
Grigory Petrovich Syrovatko also remained alive, who on that day helped her sister's husband from the village of Snitovo remove hay from the swamp. He saw with his own eyes how punitive men were approaching through the swamp, rushed to the village, but a relative held him. They say that he was moaning and howling in horror, but he was powerless to help. During the war he was a partisan, was awarded the medal "For Courage". From 1944 he was in Soviet work, head of the Gorbakh primary school.
