Justen, Stephanie

Stephanie Justen was born in Roermond , Limburg , in the southeast of the Netherlands. She has been a fan of Pokémon from an early age. She attended Bisschoppelijk Broekhin College in Roermond, where she attended a bilingual (in Dutch and English) course. A fan of otaku culture from her youth, Stephanie decided to study Japanese language and culture at Leiden University . In 2009, she went to Kyoto for a year as part of an exchange program. It was after this experience that she decided to move to Tokyo , receiving a diploma in the Netherlands.

In Japan, Stephanie signed a contract with several modeling agencies that were looking for Western models. She began to lead a modeling career in 2011. After several small roles and videos, she received a call from a secret agent who was looking for models to help with an unannounced video game. Justen, who had been obsessed with Japanese video games since childhood, was very surprised when she saw a familiar face while listening. She later found out that this was the famous video game developer Hideo Kojima when he gave an idea of ​​what she would voice and what role she would play. She was chosen as the visual and voice model for Silence, the central female character in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
