Les Brown ( Eng. Les Brown , March 14, 1912 - January 4, 2001 ) is an American musician, arranger who for 60 years has been the leader of the famous jazz-oriented dance big band [4] .

Music genre
The basis of the musical style of Forest Brown was an easy dance swing . According to the music site AllMusic , “Forest Brown’s music has never been innovative, but overall has been very enjoyable” [4] .
Biography
Les Brown was born in Reinerton , PA, to a baker’s family. [4]
His father played the trombone and wanted his son to make music too. At seven, Les Brown began to learn to play the saxophone . By the age of 10, he already knew how to read music fluently and played with his father in local dances [4] .
Having gone to high school, Les studied there for a year and decided to drop out and go to the Ithaca Music Conservatory. At the conservatory, he studied music theory, harmony and composition [4] .
