Born November 21, 1845, from the noblemen of the Ural Cossack army , Orthodox. He graduated from the Orenburg Neplyuyev cadet corps, from where in 1865 a cornet was released. He worked as a teacher in the Ural military school, served in the Ural educational hundred. From 1867 he served in the Turkestan military district , in 1868–1869 he was adjutant to the marching headquarters of the commander of the troops of the Syrdarya region , from 1868 he was a centurion, commander of the 4th Ural hundreds in the Turkestan military district, and in the same year participated in a number of battles against Bukharaites , including in the battle on the Chapan-Ata heights near Samarkand and under Zerabulak, was awarded the Order of St. Annas of the 4th degree with the inscription "for courage", the order of St. Stanislav 3rd degree with swords and bow and promoted to the rank of Yesaul . In 1870 he returned to the territory of the Ural Cossack army , in 1871 the head of the Guryev village. In 1873, a participant in the Khiva expedition as part of the Orenburg detachment of General Verevkin , during which he commanded the 1st Ural Hundred, was awarded the Order of St. for differences in battles against the Khivaites . 4th degree Vladimir with swords and a bow and the rank of military foreman . He was awarded the silver medal “For the assault by Geok-Tepe” , and also for fights with the Tekins, he was awarded a gold sword with the inscription “For courage” and the Order of Stanislav 2nd degree with swords. Since December 1881, with the rank of colonel , in 1882 he was awarded the Persian Order of Leo and the Sun of the 3rd art. In 1882-1887, the commander of the 2nd Ural Cossack Regiment, in 1887-1888 the commander of the 3rd Ural Cossack Regiment. In 1889-1893, the head of the Guryev district, in 1894-1898 an adviser to the Ural military economic administration. In 1898 he was promoted to major general with dismissal from service due to illness.

He lived in Uralsk , where he had a generic wooden house. He was married to the daughter of a centenary of VHF - Ekaterina Viktorovna Mizinova, from this marriage daughter Maria, was born in 1880. Alexander Lazarevich died in Uralsk on January 1, 1906.
