The Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey ( Turkish : Türkiye Odalar ve Borsalar Birliği ), abbreviated to TOBB, is a confederation of all regional chambers of commerce, industry and maritime trade chambers of Turkey, as well as commodity exchanges. It was founded on March 8, 1950 in Ankara as a non-governmental organization, the highest representative body of the private sector of the economy. The Union Center is located in Ankara on Dumlupynar Boulevard, 252. The President of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges has been Mustafa Rifat Hisardzhyklyoglu since 2001 [1] [2] . Currently, the Union has 365 chambers of commerce and commodity exchanges:
- 178 chambers of commerce
- 60 chambers of commerce
- 12 industrial chambers,
- 2 chambers of maritime trade,
- 113 commodity exchanges.

About 1.4 million different companies have membership in the Union [1] [2] . The Union of Chambers of Commerce is a member of the Association of European Chambers of Commerce (Euro Chambers), Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Association of Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME), Association of Balkan Chambers (ABC) [3] and the Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Black Sea Zone (BCCI ) [4] [2] . In 2014, the Union was a partner in the so-called Year of Economic Partnership and Innovation of Germany and Turkey ( German: German -Türkisches Jahr der Forschung, Bildung und Innovation ) [5] .
