When writing the song, guitarist / vocalist Paul Stanley and producer Winnie Ponsia were inspired by Hollies , which also covers Bruce Springsteen's “ 4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy) ” [3] .
The promotional video for this song was the last one featuring Peter Criss before he left the band to begin his solo career in 1980. Despite the fact that all the original members of the group participated in the video, only Paul Stanley recorded the song in the studio. Sessional drummer Anton Fig played drums, roady Kiss Tom Harper played bass, and professional songwriter Holly Knight played the keyboards, while Stanley played lead vocals and played parts on all guitars. Backing vocals performed by Vinnie Ponsia.
Subsequently, the song was performed solo by Paul Stanley on the guitar when the group toured Australia and New Zealand . The song was also performed along with the Melburg Symphony Orchestra during the Kiss Symphony: Alive IV concert program, which was released on releases in 2003.
