Biography
The first serious success was achieved in the winter of 2014, when at the XL Galan competitions in Stockholm she set the highest world achievement among girls under 18 in the 1,500-meter race - 4.08.47 [1] . Following this, she made her debut in the national team at the indoor world championship , where she could not make it to the finals.
She won a silver medal at the 2014 Junior World Cup , losing only to compatriot Davit Seyaum .
In February 2016, she broke the junior world record at a distance of 1,500 meters indoors - 4.01.81 [2] . At the indoor world championships she won a bronze medal in this discipline.
She participated in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in the 800-meter race: in the preliminary run she finished fourth with a score of 2.00.13 and was unable to qualify for the time semi-final.
