Unlike catering , home cooking is usually a simple and inexpensive food prepared at home using kitchen utensils and household appliances from a simple set of products that can be bought at any local store.
As a result of globalization, home-made recipes may also include national dishes from other regions of the world.
Home cooking differs from professional cooking in that it makes cooking easier at home, as a rule, replacing complex and rare ingredients with simpler and more affordable ones.
When serving, dishes are usually not decorated, unlike restaurant cuisine.
A huge number of homemade recipes have confectionery [1] .
Although some shops, cafes and restaurants position their kitchen or individual dishes as “homemade,” this term does not have a strict definition, and this remains only a marketing device.
Danger
Studies have shown that home cooking often does not meet the safety and quality requirements for catering establishments. [2] A significant proportion of food poisoning occurs as a result of unsafe handling of food during home cooking. [3]
