Aymar II de Poitiers ( Aymar II de Poitiers ) (b. No later than 1173, d. 1231/1232) - Count of Valentinois from 1188/1189.
Son of Guillaume I de Poitiers .
In 1187 it is referred to as the lord of Boulogne-en-Valais, Saint-Vincent and Barres.
From 1188/1189 (after the death of his father) Count of Valentinois.
In June 1189, the Count of Toulouse Raimund VI , as the Marquis of Provence, transferred to Aymar II the county of Di (Diua).
During the Albigensian Wars, Aimar II continued to be a supporter of the Toulouse counts. After their possessions were declared confiscated in favor of Simon de Montfort (1216), captured Vivar.
Not later than 1196, Aimar II de Poitiers married Philippe de Fay, Dame de Clerieux, daughter of Guillaume Jourdain, Senor de Fay. Children:
- Semnressa (d. No later than 1219), husband - Andre de Bourgogne , Count de Gap and d'Ambron.
- Guillaume II (January 31, 1202–1227 until June), Count of Valentinois.
- Josseranda (d. 1251), husband - Pierre Bermont VII, seigneur d'Andouz.
Since the only son of Aimar II Guillaume II died while his father was still alive, his grandson, Aimar III , succeeded him.
