History

The books of the patriarchal breech order of 1628 contain information about the Church of the Passion-bearer of Christ Egorius in the village. In 1716, a new wooden church was built in the village to honor the Holy Great Martyr George, and in 1747 a warm wooden church was built at this church in honor of the Holy Trinity. In 1781, the wooden churches that had fallen into disrepair were abolished, and instead of them, a stone church with a bell tower was built at the expense of parishioners. There were two thrones in the church: cold - in honor of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity (consecrated in 1784) and warm - in the name of St. Great Martyr George (consecrated in 1781).

The Church of St. Nicholas and the Miracle-Worker existed in the village at the beginning of the 17th century, as shown by the extract from the salaries of the patriarchal treasury order of books of 1628. In 1801, at the expense of the parishioners, a stone church was built with one of the thrones - in honor of St. Nicholas and the Miracle-Worker, in 1815 a warm chapel was arranged in the church’s table and consecrated in honor of the Mother of God - the “Burning Cupid”. In 1847, an independent parish was formed under the Nicholas Church. In the village there was a Zemstvo public school [2] . During the years of Soviet Power, the churches were completely destroyed.

In the late XIX - early XX centuries, the village was the center of the Yegoryevsky volost of the Kovrovsky district of Vladimir province . In 1859 [3] in the village there were 14 yards, in 1905 [4] - 27 yards.

Since 1929, the village was the center of the Yegoryevsky village council of the Kovrovsky district of the Ivanovo region , since 1935 - as part of the Savinsky district , since 1954 - as part of the Zaboryevsky village council , since 1974 - as part of the Savinsky village council , since 1983 - as part of the Shestunikhinsky village council , with 2005 - as part of the Savinsky rural settlement .
