Microsoft
In 2005, Don joined Microsoft as an engineer on the Windows team. [2] She later worked as a lead developer of Windows Vista on device features such as autorun, Bluetooth, and Windows Blu-ray integration. In Windows 7 and Windows 8, she was responsible for the search in Windows (Windows search). She led the team that created the search box in Windows 7 , the start menu , explorer tools, and open / close dialogs. She led the evolution of Windows 8 search for tablets and search applications. She also made the integration of user reviews into Windows her specialty, leading the development of Windows and the software community for many years. She later led the Microsoft HoloLens developer engagement program, allowing enthusiasts to create rich holographic experiences on the Universal Windows platform . She teaches at the Microsoft Holographic Academy and she recently opened the first #HoloHacks Hackathon event in Seattle . [3]
On June 1, 2016, Don replaced Gabe Aul as head of the Windows Insider Program. [four]

In addition to being an engineer, Don is a novice fashion designer, fashion blogger, speaker, and author of four published books, which include two novels, a novel, and a career counseling book. [five]
