Kitsatsugaru ( Jap. 北 津 郡 郡 Kitsatsugaru-gun ) is a county located in Aomori Prefecture , Japan .

According to estimates as of April 1, 2017, the population is 37.427 people, an area of 304.65 km², a density of 123 people / km². The city of Gosegawara and part of the city of Aomori were previously part of the Kitatsugaru uede.

History
Kitsatsugaru County has historically been part of Mutsu Province . During the Meiji Restoration in 1868, the county consisted of 159 villages, all under the control of Hirosaki . Aomori Prefecture was formed on December 13, 1871. Kitatsugaru County was created from the former Sangarsky District on October 30, 1878.

With the creation of the municipal system on April 1, 1889, the county of Kitatsugaru was created, consisting of 23 villages.
- 1898 - Gosegavara was elevated to the status of a city.
- 1920 - Kanagi and Itayanagi were upgraded to the status of settlements.
- 1941 - Nakasato and Tsuruta were elevated to the status of villages.
- March 28, 2005 - the village of Kanagi and the village of Siura merged into the city of Gosegavara .
- March 28, 2005 - Nakasato village and Kodomari village merged into the new Nakadomari village.
