In 1996, trainer Tom Gunderson commissioned by a Hollywood agency for the selection of animals went to Florida to purchase a Capuchin monkey for filming a new film [2] . At first, his attention was attracted by two other monkeys, but he could not pass by precociously clever Crystal. So the agency received three new actors at once. She received her present name in honor of the popular country singer Crystal Gale .
