Pleymo is a French nu metal band. It appeared in 1997. The group mixes rap and metal . In France, Pleymo decided to become the pioneers of style. It was a rather controversial decision, because, on the basis of domestic racism, the French who listen to rap do not like people who listen to metal, and vice versa. The texts of Pleymo are written mainly in French, although Arabic and simply invented words are sometimes found. Some of the songs are sung in English. The name of the group and the multi-colored image comes from the toy people " Playmobil ".

History
Pleymo began in 1997 in Paris . The band was originally called Pleymobil, 1997 line-up : Mark - vocals , Matthias - guitar , Benoit - bass , Fred - drums . Later they were joined by DJ Frank, and Eric was replaced by Matthias. In 1998, the guys corrected the name of the group - now they just became Pleymo. Against the backdrop of a general enthusiasm for American new metal, the musical direction of the collective was also determined.
In 1998, EP Pleymo was recorded. By releasing it on vinyl , the group undoubtedly wanted to show its non-standard approach to writing music, but from a commercial point of view it turned out to be absolutely unprofitable. But the first step has already been taken. They are noticed by Stephan Kraemer , producer of Watcha.
To make themselves more visible, Pleymo teams up with other young Parisian bands - Enhancer, Noisy Fate, AqME , and Wunjo. This "creative association" is called Theam Nowhere . Joint concerts and promotion contributed to the growth of popularity, and the guys got their own, albeit small, army of fans.
In 1999, Pleymo sit in the studio. The recording and mixing of the group's debut album took place in Belgium , at Impulse Studio , in June of the same year Keckispasse went on the Wet Music label , and in a year and a half it sold 10,000 copies, which was a pretty good result for the debut. Almost immediately, intense concert tours began in support of the album. Kemar, together with other members of Team Nowhere, is recording a common song of the association, which was called “TN”. Meanwhile, the growing popularity of the band attracted the attention of major record labels. In 2000, the musicians signed a contract with Epic Records .
In 2002, the second Episode 2 album : Medecine Cake was released . Its producer, Fabrice Leyni , is known for working with rappers NTM. Also on the album, in the fashion of that time, musicians from friendly groups were noted: Flaw from Wunjo, Martin from the Stereotypical Working Class and Bob from Watcha. A video for the song “New Wave” is released, which brings Pleymo worldwide fame. At concerts in Japan, the guys were noted on the same stage with Offspring and No Doubt .
In 2007, Pleymo performed in several cities of Russia : Moscow , St. Petersburg , Nizhny Novgorod , Rostov-on-Don , after which, after playing several more concerts, the group broke up.
However, after 10 years of silence, the group announced a series of concerts in Europe, as reported by the band's vocalist Mark Majori on social networks. One of the shows will be held in Paris 03/23/2018.
