Biography

Born May 24, 1980 in Ryazan in a family of workers, baptized in infancy. From the age of 11 he altarized in the church of the Life-Giving Trinity of the village of Murmino, Ryazan Region.

In 1997, after graduating from secondary school No. 17, he entered the Ryazan State Radio Engineering Academy (now a university), which he graduated in 2002 with the qualification of “ radio engineer ”.

In the summer of 2002, he arrived at the courtyard of the Transfiguration of the Solovetsky Monastery in Moscow - which is located at the Church of the Great Martyr George the Victorious in Endov . In April 2003, he was admitted to the brotherhood of the Solovetsky monastery.

In 2003 he entered the Moscow Theological Seminary , which he graduated in 2008.

On December 24, 2003, the governor of the Solovetsky Monastery, Archimandrite Joseph (Bratishchev), was tonsured into the monastic mantle with the name Aksy in honor of the Monk Aksy of Kashkaransky, the Solovetsky miracle worker.
