Geography
The village is located 90 kilometers from the regional center of Plesetsk and 25 kilometers from Fedovo , is the final destination of the Lipakov narrow gauge railway , at its 33rd kilometer. The village is surrounded by forest. A river of the same name flows along the western outskirts.
The village has 4 streets without names. It is built up with wooden houses, one of which is a multi-storey two-story building.
History
The village was founded in 1952 during logging carried out by the Krasnovsky timber industry, which was located in the village of Lipakovo . A narrow gauge railway was built to remove the forest, the village of Seza was built on its 33rd kilometer and was originally planned as temporary, with the expectation of resettlement after the completion of logging in this section (which in the end was never implemented). Sand was mined near Ceza for construction purposes, from which an abandoned quarry was preserved. In 2000, the Krasnovsky timber industry enterprise was closed, in the mid -2000s, the removal of forests was stopped, and the URD routes that went to the felling areas were dismantled. At the moment, the economy of the village is limited by rail and a shop.
Transport
In the village is the Seza station and the locomotive depot of the Lipakovskaya URD. Three times a week, a passenger train runs from Onega station, which is the only way to get to Ceza. There are no roads to the village. Until the 1980s, URD continued beyond the village for approximately 45 kilometers, then stage-by-stage dismantling of tracks began in connection with the fall in logging volumes, and at the moment Ceza is a dead end of the railway.
