Content
History
In the middle of the 19th century, the Sukhov-Grachevsky farm of the village of Buratskaya in the Khopersky District of the Land of the Don Army (since 1870 - the Don Army Region ). In 1859, 25 male and 22 female souls lived on the farm [2] .
According to the census of 1873, 144 men and 160 women lived on the farm; there were 160 horses , 152 pairs of oxen , 507 heads of other cattle and 1235 heads of sheep on the households of the inhabitants [3] .
Not later than 1897, the settlement was divided into two - Sukhoi and Grachev farms. According to the 1897 census , 165 men and 183 women lived in Sukhoi Farm. Most of the population was illiterate: literate men - 44 (26.7%), women - 2 (1.1%) [4] .
According to the alphabetical list of the populated areas of the Donskoy Troop Region of 1915, the farmhouse had a farm board and a parish school, the land allotment was 2136 acres , 249 men and 258 women lived [5] .
Since 1928 - as part of the Nekhaevsky District of the Khopyorsky District (abolished in 1930) of the Lower Volga Region (since 1934 - the Stalingrad Region ). The farm was the center of the 1st Sukhov Village Council [6] Based on the decision of the Executive Committee of the Volgograd Regional Council of Workers' Deputies dated May 31, 1968 No. 18/752, the center of the Sukhov Village Council was transferred from Sukhovsky I Farm to Sokolovsky Farm, the Sukhovsky Village Council was renamed Sokolovsky Village Council . Since 2004 - a farm in the Tishansky rural settlement [7] .
Geography
The farm is located within the Kalach Upland , related to the East European Plain, in the Sukhaya Tishanka beam, at an altitude of about 90 meters above sea level. The beam profile is asymmetric: the right slope is more gentle, the left is steeper, cut by numerous ravines [8] . Soils - southern chernozems and ordinary chernozems [9]
By road, the distance to the village of Tishanskaya is about 20 km, to the district center of the village of Nekhaevskaya - 7.3 km, to the regional center of the city of Volgograd - 370 km.
