Biography
Born in a merchant family in Moscow, the exact date and place of birth are unknown. He lived and worked in his own house in Preobrazhensky. He was actively interested in Moscow studies and wrote a number of books, one of which was illustrated by the greatest artist Mikhail Nesterov . He was the creator of his own home museum in his own home, where he invited everyone to it for free. In his museum he collected engravings, paintings, books, utensils, manuscripts and many other antiques.
He died on January 24, 1904 in Moscow. He was buried at the Semenovsky cemetery.
