Demographic Dynamics

If you look at the data of the last three censuses that took place in Iran (1996, 2006 and 2011), the population dynamics of Siyakhkal will be equal to: 13562, 15658 and 18176 people. This means that the population grew at a rate of + 1.45% for 1996-2006. and + 3.03% for 2006-2011. That is, over the past five years there has been a sharp acceleration in the growth of the population of Siyakhkal. It must be assumed that this is mainly due to the sharp increase in immigration to the city, since the birthrate at that time was falling throughout Iran, including in Gilan, and it could hardly have grown significantly in Siyahkal. The population growth chart for this city has a pronounced hyperbolic shape with a sharp acceleration for 2006-2011, when the growth rate increased sharply. On average for the year 1996-2006 The population of Siyahkälä grew by 210 people, and in 2006-11. - for about 504 people. Thus, the absolute population growth over this period has more than doubled. In the city in 2011, 38.6% of the population of the Shahrestan shahrestan lived, and it was the largest city of this shahrestan. If we compare the demographic growth of the city with the city of Rasht, the capital of the province of Gilan, taking the number of Rasht as 100%, then the share of Siyakhkal in 1996 will be 3.2% of the population of Rasht, in 2006 - 2.8% and in 2011 - also 2.8%. Thus, this share is for 1996-2006. sharply (by 0.4%) decreased, but then remained stable, which shows the equality of population growth rates in the provincial capital and the city of Siyahkal [4] .
