History
The original name of Rezvanshahr sounded like Razvand (with options: Razvand and Rezvandi), which later changed to Rezvandehi Rezvanshahr. This settlement was poorly developed until the 1920s. During the Djangelian movement, an abandoned road built in the settlement area back in the time of Shah Abbas again began to be used. The road stretched from Rezvandeh through Gesgerat to the seaside village of Shefarud [3] .
Around 1940, a highway was built from Enzeli to Astara, crossing the road of Shah Abbas directly at the site of the current Rezvanshahr. The formed crossroads became a stopping place for travelers, packing and transportation of goods, thanks to which the village of Rezvandeh gained fame. After some time, the bazaar, which worked on Wednesdays, in the village of Big Zade, three kilometers north of Rezvandeh, was moved to that intersection. As a result of this, the settlement of Rezvandeh began to grow rapidly, received the status of a city and acquired the appearance of a modern urban settlement [3] .
Attractions and climatic conditions
The city of Rezvanshahr is a very favorable place to live, given the developed infrastructure, a very favorable climate in the summer and a rather mild winter, as well as the fact that in the area of the city there are simultaneously mountains, sea, forests. It is also important that the residents of the city are characterized as very hospitable, kind and helpful. Due to its favorable geographical location, the city is attractive for investment. In the region of Rezvanshahra there are Asyabaga waterfall and Shalash cave [4] .
Population Movement
According to the last three Iranian censuses (October 25, 1996, October 25, 2006, and October 24, 2011), the population dynamics of Rezvanshahr were as follows: 8875 people, 12453 people and 15267 people. The overall growth rate over the fifteen years turned out to be 1.7 times - this is an extremely high pace. For 1996-2006 population growth was recorded at a rate of 3.4% on average for the year, and for 2006-2011. this indicator has increased sharply, amounting to 4.2% per year. Of course, given the very low birth rate of Gilan, it is unbelievable that the townspeople of Rezvanshahr, who did not fundamentally differ in cultural characteristics from the Gilan people, somehow showed an extremely high birth rate at the level of the physiological maximum, atypical not only for Gilan, but not for any modern Iranian province, in which the growth rates recorded in the city are only possible. So, the main contribution to them was played by migration due to the favorable geographical position of the city and its very favorable climatic conditions. On average for 1996-2006. population growth was 360 people, and for 2006-2011. - already 560. In 2011 there is an opportunity to learn about the sex ratio in the city. So, according to the census, 7534 men and 7733 women were registered in it, or only 97 men per 100 women, which is very atypical for the whole of Iran, where there is a noticeable predominance of men. The city of Rezvanshahr, although very small, is growing at a pace significantly faster than the provincial capital, Rasht [5] .
