RCS & RDS is a Romanian telecommunications company. It is one of the largest telecommunications operators in Southeast Europe and the largest cable and satellite TV company in Romania [2] [3] . It provides cable television , cable Internet, IP-telephony , 3G networks , and since 2004, satellite television (under the Digi TV brand).

History
RCS & RDS was established in April 2005 by a de jure association of Romanian cable systems (RCS, founded in 1994) and Romanian data systems (RDS, founded in 1998). These companies had the same owner from the very beginning and acted de facto as a whole long before that [6] (since 2001) [7] .
In 2003, RCS & RDS acquired the telecommunications company TerraSat. [8] , in 2004 it acquired Astral Telecom and FX Communications. [9] In the 2010s, it acquired Airbites (2010) [10] , iLink (2012) [11] and Titan Net (2013) [12] .
According to 2007 data, the company had: 2.6 million DigiTV.Satelit satellite television subscribers, 1.6 million DigiTV.Cablu cable television subscribers, 1.5 million Digi.Tel fixed-line telephone subscribers, 2 million Digi mobile phone service subscribers. Mobil, 1.1 million Digi.Net broadband Internet service subscribers [13] .
In 2016, RCS & RDS revenue increased from 750.1 to 842.8 million euros [4] . In the spring of 2017, S&P upgraded RCS & RDS from B + to BB- [14] .
