Geography
The village is located in the southeastern part of the Astrakhan region, in the Volga River delta , on the left bank of the Koshelevka channel, near the state border with Kazakhstan , at a distance of about 26 kilometers (as the crow flies) east of the village of Krasny Yar , the administrative center of the region. The absolute height is 24 meters below sea level [2] . The climate is temperate, sharply continental. It is characterized by high temperatures in summer and low temperatures in winter, low precipitation, as well as large annual and summer daily temperature amplitudes.

According to the All-Russian Census , in 2010 the population of the village was 118 (66 men and 52 women) [1] . According to the results of the 2002 census , in the national structure of the population, Kazakhs accounted for 61%, Russians - 36% [4] .
