Biography
Born in the family of Pavel Anatolyevich Sudoplatov, a high-ranking employee of the NKVD of the USSR , and lieutenant colonel, teacher of the Central School of the NKVD , before this senior authorized counterintelligence department of the GUGB of the NKVD of the USSR Emma Karlovna Kaganova (nee Sulamifi Solomonovna Krimker, 1905-1988).
After graduating from the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute in 1965 M. Toreza , worked at the Faculty of Economics of Moscow State University . Candidate of Economic Sciences (1969), the topic of his Ph.D. thesis is “Economic Programming in England”. Doctor of Economics (1989), the theme of his doctoral dissertation is “Basic theoretical concepts of bourgeois demography”.
In 1975-1992, he was the director of the UN courses at the Moscow State University on demography for specialists from developing countries. In 1993-2005 - Professor of the Department of Population, Faculty of Economics, Moscow State University. He gave lectures on “Population Economics and Demography”, “International Population Problems”, “Demographic Concepts”, “Population Problems of Developing Countries”, “Demographic Aspects of International Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation”, “Population Economics and Demography”, as well as special courses “Criticism of bourgeois concepts of population”, “Population problems and world development”, “Economic and information security”. In 2003, he was awarded the title of Honored Professor of Moscow University.
KGB reserve lieutenant colonel, researcher of the history of the Soviet special services [1] . In collaboration with his father, books were written and published: “Intelligence and the Kremlin: Notes of an Unwanted Witness” (M., 1996), “Special Operations: Lubyanka and the Kremlin: 1930-1950” (M., 1997). He published articles on national security issues in the Russian media.
He died in Berlin , where he went for treatment. He was buried in Moscow at the Don cemetery [2] .
