Gumbatova, Tamara Ahmed Kyzy

Born December 25, 1929 in the family of an employee in the city of Ganja, Azerbaijan SSR.

She graduated from the Azerbaijan Agricultural Institute . Father - head of the health department of the Ganja district party committee, was killed in a shootout when his daughter was 6 months old.

She began her career in 1954 as an assistant to the Faculty of Economics of the Azerbaijan Agricultural Institute, since 1956 she was a graduate student of the Azerbaijan Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture, and later head of the Department of the Institute of Economics of the Academy of Sciences of the Azerbaijan SSR. In 1961 she defended her thesis for the degree of candidate of economic sciences on the topic "Labor Organization on the Collective Farms of the Lenkoran District of the Azerbaijan SSR" ^[1] .

Since 1961, deputy agricultural affairs director of the organizational department of the Kirovabad city ​​committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan, later an inspector of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Republic.

In 1974, she was appointed to the post of first secretary of the Ismayilli District Party Committee. Gumbatova contributed to the development of agriculture, business and economic life in the region.

From 1975 to 1983, the first secretary of the Absheron District Committee of the Communist Party of the Republic. Under the leadership of Gumbatova, the restoration and development of the economy of the Absheron region began. The production of agricultural and livestock products increased. The first secretary significantly contributed to the restoration of unprofitable state farms, an example of which was the Turkan state farm, which was in decline, but after the intervention of Tamara Gumbatova, 7 cars were purchased to the state farm, the situation improved. In 1982, records were set in the district: 18 thousand tons of milk, 12 thousand tons of meat, 2500 quintals of sheep’s wool, 80 million chicken eggs, 15 thousand tons of grapes, 2 thousand tons of fruits, 5 thousand tons of vegetables. Collected and sold to the state 145 kilograms of saffron. For their labor achievements, breeders Makhmuzar Kurbanova and Alisaf Yagubov were awarded high prizes.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 3, 1980, for outstanding achievements in the early fulfillment of the tasks of the tenth five-year plan for the production of industrial and agricultural products, Gumbatova Tamara Ahmed kyzy was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal "Hammer and Sickle" .

From 1983 to 1986, he was chairman of the Trade Union of Agricultural Workers; from 1986, he was chairman of the Trade Union of Public Administration Workers. Since 1989, retired.
