Biography

She studied at the dance school Margaret Morris [5] and the French Institute [6] , but the resulting trauma made her forget about the career of a dancer [7] . However, the Phillies did not become a child actor : the next time she appeared on the screen only six years later, and her full-fledged film career began in 1939. In just 73 career years (with significant interruptions), Calvert appeared in 75 films and series.
After the end of World War II, Phyllis and her husband moved to Hollywood , however, unlike many British actresses of that time, her cinematic career in the USA did not work, and after a while they returned to their homeland [8] .
