About the album
The first album of the group Brutto was released in early autumn 2014 , immediately after the dissolution of the group Lyapis Trubetskoy . The second album was released exactly one year later, so the audience expected the third album of the group in the fall of 2016 . Then Sergey Mikhalok very emotionally reacted to these expectations, saying that they would release a new album when they saw fit: [4]
| We set the Stakhanov pace at the start! We needed a Jerk, Super Speed, Record !!! Now we have Good Cruising Speed. And We are not idle <...> But the Third Album is the Most Important. We must show that our Success is not an accident, that we are not a seasonal one-day event. We will release the Album! Serious work. |
The album was released on May 1, 2017 . Mikhalok described the new work as follows: [3]
| We recorded this album back in 2016. We missed the "start". But it’s even more fun. After all, even with a bad start, you can come to the “finish” first! Brutto leaves Big Politics (everything is clear there) to the Big Religion (everything is foggy there). Sequere Deum! |
The album includes 12 tracks. Four songs are written in the words of the Ukrainian poet Sergey Zhadan ("Rocky", "Sabotage", "Papyaroska" and "Middle wiki"). The songs "Papyaroska" and "Rocky" are performed in translation into Belarusian. The song "Godze" is written on the verses of the Belarusian poet Yanka Kupala . English song " Cambodia " is a cover version of a 1981 song by British singer Kim Wilde . The album also contains two songs by Lyapis Trubetskoy in a new treatment, this is “TV” and “Matryoshka” [5] [6] . The album includes the already known composition "Black Obelisk", which was previously released by the single. The song was inspired by the novels “ Farewell to Arms!” Ernest Hemingway and Erich Maria Remarque on the Western Front [7] .
Video clips were shot for two songs from the album (“Middle Wiki” and “Rocky") by Ukrainian director Anna Buryachkova. The Belarusian gymnast Melitina Stanyuta [8] [9] took part in the video for the song “Rocky”. Andrey Davydovsky made a video for the song "Papyaroska". The main location for the shooting was an abandoned Kiev mental hospital [10] . Dmitry Avdeev shot a video for the song "Godze", which was shot on the beach near Odessa . In the video, Sergei Mikhalok filmed with his family [11] .

Reviews
Experty.by reacted coolly to the new album, the average expert rating was 5.5 out of 10: “The album is not bad, but not at the Lyapis level: even bad covers on it look stronger than Brutto's opuses” [1] . Alexey Mazhaev from the InterMedia website rated the album 3 out of 5, in his opinion: “We just expect too much from Mikhalk, and he is not always ready to lay out exactly what was expected. Most likely, after a couple of years, songs from this disc will take their rightful place among the tracks of Brutto ” [2] .
