Biography

Otto von Bülow studied at Heidelberg , Berlin and Gallic universities . After graduation, he was accepted to the diplomatic service in Prussia. In 1881-1882 he was the ambassador of Prussia at the Württemberg court in Stuttgart . In 1882 he transferred to the diplomatic service of the German Empire and in 1882-1882 he was the German ambassador to Bern . In 1892-1898 he headed the German Embassy under the Holy See . He was buried in a non-Catholic cemetery in Rome near the grave of Goethe's son Augustus .
