The Center for Albanological Research ( Alb. Qendra e Studimeve Albanologjike , abbreviated QSU ) is one of the most important research institutions in the Albanian-speaking world. It was established in 2007 by the government of Albania and is located in the Albanian capital Tirana near the university [1] .

Organization
Guide
The highest management of the institution is the academic senate, which consists of twelve scientists [2] . Management and finance is the responsibility of the office, chaired by Arben Scendery [3] . The Chairperson of the Chancellery is also a member of the Governing Council, which includes a total of seven scientists. The chairman of the management board is Elvan Metal. The Governing Council is the legislative body, it oversees the activities of the center [4] .
Structure
The Center for Albanological Research was established as part of the restructuring and modernization of the Albanian academic and university system by government decree No. 559 of August 22, 2007, signed by Prime Minister Sali Berisha . For this, the Anthropological-Artistic, Archaeological, Linguistic-Literary and Historical Institutes were combined into one structure [5] [6] . The center was reorganized on March 10, 2008, becoming a research institute and receiving the status of an inter-university body.
Tasks
The Center for Albanological Research conducts research in the field of Albanistics , and more precisely in the following four areas: cultural anthropology / art history , archeology , linguistics / literature and historical science. Among the main priorities of the center is a critical study of the country's history, including religious, which was not in the communist period [7] . The center manages archives and libraries , as well as carries out various projects. For example, since 2010, work has been ongoing on the Albanian Encyclopedia [5] .
The center is an inter-university institution, it also has a magistracy and doctoral studies [8] .
