Biography
Balazs studied the work of transport in the UK. Thanks to the further activities of Balazs, on July 30, 1889, the first tram was launched in Budapest, running between University Square and Stazio Street. September 10, 1889 the tram began to go to Podmanitskaya street. In 1895-1896, a metro was built in Budapest (the first continental metro), and Balazs also initiated the construction of the underground road. The length of the laid branches was 3228 meters. With the death of Balazs, work on further projects ceased.

- He was buried in the Jewish cemetery on Kozma street.
- His name bears the Budapest Transport Development Plan.
