History
It was founded in the XVIII century by a retired officer Poltava landowner Kobelev, who resettled his serfs here. It belonged to the Pushkarsky volost. Since 1928, as part of the Veselo-Lopansky district, the center of the Kobelevsky village council. In 1929 it was renamed Red October [2] .
