Binnish ( Arabic: بنش ) is a city in northwestern Syria located in the governorate of Idlib . It is part of the Idlib region. It is the administrative center of the same name Nakhia.

History
The toponym Binnish is mentioned in cuneiform clay tablets found at the excavation site of the ancient city of Ebla [1] .
Geographical position
The city is located in the north-eastern part of the governorate, at an altitude of 330 meters above sea level [2] .
Binnish is located about 5 kilometers northeast of Idlib , the provincial capital, and 267 kilometers northeast of NNE from Damascus , the country's capital.
Population
According to the 2004 official census , the population of the city was 21,848 people (11,597 men and 10,251 women) [3] .
Transport
Through the city passes the national highway M60, connecting the cities of Salkin and Aleppo . The nearest civilian airport is Aleppo International Airport [2] .
