This list is a list of enterprises of the Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic with a staff of more than 200 people as of January 1, 1979, compiled on the basis of the Soviet Estonia encyclopedic reference book, edited by Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the ESSR Gustav Naan and published in Russian in Tallinn in 1979. [1] The list includes both enterprises nationalized in 1940 when Estonia joined the USSR , as well as enterprises established during Soviet rule . The list is built on the basis of industry enterprises.
