From early childhood, she showed musical talent. I started playing the piano at the age of 5, and after a few more years I began to play the guitar [1] .
At the age of 11 she started writing songs [1] .
In 2007, she began uploading her songs to a personal page on MySpace [1] .
By 2009, Joyce became confident enough as an author and performer to show demo tapes of the French Internet company My Music Company , specializing in giving young unknown artists the opportunity to exhibit their work on the Internet and ask for financial assistance (for recording and publishing) from fans. When the company posted a few songs of Joyce, the people liked the songs and donations (sent via the company's website) resulted in an amount sufficient to finance the recording of the first album [1] .
In December 2009, the singer has already released her first (digital) single on the Internet. According to AllMusic , this song, “sung in a clear, sweet voice” and with “emotionally resonating poems,” quickly gained a large audience [1] .
In January 2010, Jennifer's first album, entitled Sur mes gardes, entered stores. It was produced by Louis Bertignac . After 5 months, the album was certified gold by sales in France [1] .
The singer became very popular in France, gave concerts in several of the most prestigious French concert halls [1] .
