The UK Biathlon Team is the national sports team representing the UK in various biathlon competitions. The sports team is most successful at the IBU Cup . [one]
The biathlon team is run by the British Biathlon Union, formed in 1996. Most of the country's athletes are members of the armed forces. The national championship is usually held in January in Ruhpolding , Germany. The national team [2] , which is led by Walter Pichler for many years, is mainly training here. The team also has a training base at Glenmore Lodge, Scotland [3] . Two athletes represented the UK at the 2017 World Cup: Scott Dixon and Amanda Lightfoot [4] .
