Biography
In 1983-1990, he was a senior lecturer at the Department of History of the USSR of the Novgorod State Pedagogical Institute [2] .
From 1991 to 2010 - General Director of the Museum-Reserve; since May 2012 - an expert of the museum for the study and popularization of cultural heritage objects [2] . Contributed to the development of the museum, including in the 1990s [1] . In 2015-2017, he worked with students of Novgorod University, continued to research the most ancient annalistic information about the emergence of the political center of Novgorod land, the origin of the features of the oldest topography, editorial offices and sources of the legend about the calling of the Varangian princes in the Novgorod First Annals of the younger edition [1] . Member of the Council of the Branch of the Russian Historical Society in Veliky Novgorod [3] .
Involved in the return to the city of its former name "Veliky Novgorod" [1] .
