Kongos (styled KONGOS ) is a South African alternative rock band consisting of four brothers: Johnny, Jesse, Daniel and Dylan Kongos.

Group History

The Congos brothers spent their childhood in South Africa and the UK , and are currently writing music and recording albums in Phoenix , USA [1] . Their father, John Kongos is a well-known South African artist, whose albums diverged in large circulations and occupied prestigious places on the charts, and he is best known for his 1971 hits “He's Gonna Step on You Again” and “Tokoloshe Man” [2] . Brothers from childhood were surrounded by music and sound recording, which influenced their further career, in 2007 they released their debut self-titled album [3] .

As of the beginning of 2017, the group released 3 studio albums [4] . After the band’s songs began to gain popularity in the USA in 2014, and the single “Come with Me Now” was used in commercials, TV shows and films, KONGOS signed a contract with Epic Records and at the end of January 2014 their second studio album Lunatic was re-released [5] .

The most famous song of the group is “Come with Me Now”. She took 1st place on the Alternative Songs chart [6] , 2nd place on the Rock Songs chart [7] , was in the top 10 of the Canadian Hot 100 [8] . The clip for this song has over 100 million views on YouTube [9] .
