Kosovo District

Kosovo District ( German: Bezirk Kosów , Kosovo County , Polish. Powiat kosowski ) is the administrative unit of the crown land of the Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria as part of Austria-Hungary , which existed in 1867-1918. The administrative center is Kosov .

The area of ​​the district in 1879 was 19.1832 square miles (1103.8 km2), and the population was 620882 people. The district counted 46 settlements, organized in 45 cadastral municipalities. There were 2 district courts operating in the district - in Kosovo and Kuta [1] .

After World War I, the district, together with all of Galicia, moved to Poland .
