He graduated from the Conservatory in Bordeaux (2015), then the Paris Conservatory (2018), a student of Henri Bertellier [1] and Lucien Cape .

Best known as the first performer of the First Violin Concerto by Sergei Prokofiev ( October 18, 1923): after several well-known virtuoso violinists (in particular, Bronislav Huberman ) refused to play this composition, the conductor and composer entrusted the soloist with the first violin of the orchestra [2] . As Prokofiev wrote in the letter, “the performer, who until then was in complete obscurity, and having played my concert with Kusevitsky, received invitations to perform it in Paris 3 more times during the season, not counting the invitations to the province” [3] .

In the second half of the 1920s. Darje collaborated with the conductor Walter Straram , since 1926 he was accompanist of his orchestra . On June 11, 1925, Darje and Straram performed the world premiere of the Concert for violin and winds by Kurt Weil , on February 24, 1927 - Poems for violin and orchestra by Dimitrios Levidis . In the 1930s Darje was the accompanist of the Colonna Orchestra , in 1937 he was a member of the jury of the Eugene Isai International Violin Competition [4] .

As an ensemble, he performed, in particular, with flute player Marcel Mois and violinist Pierre Pasquier , in this composition he recorded the Serenade for violin, flute and viola Op. 25 Ludwig van Beethoven (with Pasquier on the viola) and participated in the recording of the Concerto for Harpsichord and Chamber Ensemble Manuel de Falla (with the author in the solo part). He also recorded with piano accompaniment in the 1920s. separate plays by Robert Schumann , Isaac Albenis , Gabriel Pierne , Enrico Toselli and others.
