Biography

Born in a military family, his grandfather on the father's side is an official, a nobleman. Father was repressed in July 1937.

In 1932-1936 she studied at the Moscow Art College at the OGIZ , took lessons from the schedule of Victor Denis . In 1942 she graduated from the MII (student A. A. Deineka, G. G. Ryazhsky).

During the Great Patriotic War, together with Nikolai Denisov, she created the well-known poster “Do not talk!” (1941), printed in millions of copies. During the war years, Vatolina created famous posters: “Fascism is the worst enemy of women.
